Dubai: A big haul of gold being smuggled into India from the UAE in diplomatic baggage has been seized at Kerala’s Thiruvananthapuram airport, it was reported within the Indian press on Sunday.
The luggage arrived by air cargo and a number of other kilograms of gold have been discovered inside a parcel. Officers are attempting to find out who despatched the parcel and to whom.
The UAE consulate have found that the parcel was addressed to them however officers refused to remark additional on the matter.
UAE Ambassador to India, Dr Ahmad Abdul Rahman Al Banna informed Gulf Information that he had simply acquired to know in regards to the incident.
